We all agree: folding laundry can be a bitch. But I’ve got a game-changing technique that’ll make it easier, faster, and way less of a headache. Picture this: I’m on the job, folding 5,000 t-shirts. How do I keep my sanity and efficiency? It’s all about the method.

The Secret to Faster Folding

Here’s the trick: lay all your clothes out face down first. This technique, folding all the same items one after another (aka automotive repetitive tasks), skyrockets your folding efficiency. Trust me, you’ll want to SHARE this one.

I use this technique for both tops and bottoms. It’s how my mom taught me, and now my sister and brother swear by it too. We’re all excellent folders, and this method is our secret weapon.

Why This Works

  1. Consistency: Your folded clothes will look better and more uniform.
  2. Speed: Folding similar items in a batch helps you get into a rhythm, making the whole process go a LOT faster.
  3. Less Wrinkles: By laying your clothes out first, you prevent them from turning into a wrinkled mess.

Pro Tip: Break It Up

Sometimes, I’ll lay out my tops and bottoms and leave them like that for the day. I’ll drape the piles over a chair, and the next day, I’ll fold all the tops, then tackle the bottoms the day after. Laying them out keeps the items from becoming a ball of wrinkles and spreads the work out.

So next time you’re staring down a mountain of laundry, try this method. Your future self will thank you, and your clothes will look fabulous. Happy folding!
